Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the FreeCell: No Ads app ("the App") handles information. The App is built so that the developer never receives any information about you.

Summary

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

iCloud sync

If your device is signed in to iCloud, the App stores your statistics, your deal and Daily Challenge history, your daily goals, level and day streak, and the game you have in progress in your private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit, so that you can continue on another of your devices. Each device's records carry a random identifier the App makes for that device, so that two devices never overwrite each other's counts; it identifies nothing but the device's own records. This data lives in your iCloud account; the developer cannot see or access it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or turn iCloud off for the App in Settings, everything stays on the device. Your settings (card style, layout, sound) are never synced.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the App reports your achievements to it, along with your number of games won and your time and moves when you win the day's Daily Challenge, for its leaderboards, and the time you spend playing the Daily Challenge, as a Game Center activity. If you join a Daily Race challenge with friends in Apple's Games app, the same Daily Challenge time counts in it, and the friends in it see it. Game Center is Apple's service and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The App never asks you to sign in to Game Center; if you aren't signed in, nothing is reported.

The "More Apps with No Ads" list

So that the list of our other apps in Settings stays current, the App downloads it, with the apps' icons, from a public file hosted on GitHub Pages, at most once a week, and keeps a copy on your device. The download sends nothing about you, your device or your use of the App: every one of our apps makes exactly the same request. GitHub, as the host, may log the IP address of each request for security purposes, under GitHub's General Privacy Statement; we cannot see those logs.

If you tap an app in the list, the App Store opens its page. The link names the app you came from, so that Apple can tell us in aggregate how many people found an app this way; Apple does that counting, and we never see who tapped.

Purchases

The App currently has no in-app purchases. If a later version adds one, it will be processed by Apple: the App would receive only a signed confirmation of what you own, never your payment details, name, address, or billing information.

Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud, Game Center and purchases: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Third-party services

The App does not include any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. The external systems it talks to are Apple's — iCloud (for sync, if you use it) and Game Center (if you use it) — and GitHub Pages, only to download the More Apps list described above.

Children

The App is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above.

Settings › Contact Us opens a new email in your mail app, addressed to us and filled in with the App's name and version, your device model and your iOS version, to help us answer. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and you can change or remove any of it first.
